About our administrators and directors:
Janet Andersen is a co-owner and co-administrator of the Tree House Children's Center and is the director of the School Age Childcare programs. Janet graduated from UC Davis and UC San Francisco with degrees in Physical Education and Physical Therapy. Janet has worked for 20 years as a part-time physical therapist in a variety of settings. Janet has four children who all attend school in Winters and she has been very active volunteering in their schools and in the community. Throughout this journey, Janet has been passionate about child development and gained knowledge about how children effectively learn and become happy, well adjusted, productive adults. She hopes to share this knowledge with the families of Winters through the Tree House.
Cheryl Moore is the co-owner and co-administrator of The Tree House Children’s Center and is the director of the Preschool programs. She has been a preschool teacher for over 20 years and holds a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. During those 20 years she has worked as a teacher and director in full time centers, owned and operated a family home child care center, and been the head teacher for two different Parent Cooperatives. Cheryl has two children attending Winters public schools and has been very involved in the community and the schools with her children. She is passionate about working with children and their families. She believes that working together we can give the children the tools they need to build strong relationships as they grow up.
